I’m Walt Jackson. I live in Utah and on Molokaʻi, Hawaiʻi. My wife, Emilia Costa, was born in Palermo, Italy. Our daughters—Ginger, Marina, and Miriam—are the Costa-Jackson Sisters, who sing opera around the world.
I’m an Air Force vet, a retired religious teacher, an author, and a photographer. I hold a master’s in education and have also designed websites. Today, my focus is writing stories for young people.
I write adventures full of wonder, humor, and hard choices. My characters make mistakes, find their strengths, and learn to work things out with others. I hope readers leave with a little more courage, a better sense of who they are, and a feeling that “I can figure this out, too.”
